Robert John Appert Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert John Appert of Stillwater, Minnesota, born in Duluth, Minnesota, who passed away on January 20, 2022 at the age of 75. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert John Appert to pay them a last tribute.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ann and Robert; his wife Jean Powers Appert; his children, Heather Appert, Robert Appert III (Joey), Eliza Chlebeck (Colin), Jack Appert and Tommy Appert (Lindsey); his grandchildren, Alexa, Lena, Lily, Izzy, Bobby, Ford and Crew; and his siblings, Mary Ann Montgomery (Tom) and John Appert (Julie). He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and countless friends.

A celebration of Bob's life will follow at The Loft at Studio J in Stillwater from 2:30-4:30 p. m. Out of respect for the family, for the safety of all in attendance, and to honor Bob's longstanding belief in modern medicine, the family requests that attendees be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or receive a negative COVID test within 24 hours of the events.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations may be made in Bob's honor to the Wild River Conservancy or Dorothy Day Center.
