He is survived by: his wife Beatrice; his children, Rebecca Kurk, James Kurk (Sharmon) and Barbara Conroy (Peter); his granddaughters, Julie Rhein (John Paul) and Victoria McBride (Shawn); and his great grandchild Finley Rhein.
