He was predeceased by: his father Elmer J. Berg. He is survived by: his mother JoAnn Berg (Ferris) of Fergus Falls; his wife Judy Folstad-Berg of Mabel, MN; his sisters, Vicki Russell (David) of St. Louis, MO and Patti Beaudoin (Tim); his nieces and nephews, Ellie Robak (Jordon Collier), Emily Owusu (Osei), Andrew Russell (Maggie), Nathan Russell (Cunqian), Matt Beaudoin (Natalia Pluwak) and Joe Beaudoin (Jessica); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Lilah Collier, Maya, Jane Russell, Ella Owusu, Franklin and Jackson Beaudoin; his parents-in-law, Arland and Lillian Folstad (Berquam); his brother Keith; and his sister-in-law Carolyn Haugstad.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred or donations to St. Andrews Lutheran Church, Hesper Lutheran Church, or the Animal Humane Society.
