With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ione Showalter of Starbuck, Minnesota, who passed away on January 6, 2021 at the age of 84. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Swensrud and Agnes Swensrud (Moe); her daughter-in-law Sandy Showalter; her grandson Garret Showalter; her brother Orlin Swensrud; and her cousin Leslie Moe.
She is survived by: her husband John Showalter; her children, Bradley Showalter (Linda) of Danvers, Brian Showalter (Karla) of Starbuck, Carol Auguston (Ron) of Chisholm and Bruce Showalter (Sharon) of Buhl; her sister Judith Kadrmas (Alvin) of Fargo, ND; and her grandchildren, Megan Showalter, Jared Showalter (Tammy), Mark Showalter (Emily), Lisa Tingelhoff (Scott), Amy Plackner (Blair), Jeremy Showalter (Jennifer), Grant Haley (Bridget), Jennifer Letho, Jackie Letho, Danielle Kolp (Ross) and Kelly Shoemaker (Mike). She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
While maintaining social distancing guidelines, we are now able to accommodate gatherings of up to 250 people. The use of face masks by attendees is required, and we will continue taking the necessary steps to keep our facility clean.
