He was predeceased by: his parents, Selmer Kleven and Signe Kleven (Wenskaug); and his brothers, Lloyd, Vernon and Kenneth Kleven.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis of Springfield; his daughters, Tamara Jessen (Ronald) of Apple Valley, Rebecca Donner (Paul) of Lakeville and Beth Collins (Daniel) of Elk River; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Meyer and Gloria Kleven. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Memorials are preferred to the Springfield Community Center, St. John Lutheran Home, Springfield Public School, or Trinity Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye.
