He was predeceased by: his parents, Mathias Bauer and Caroline Bauer (Ertl); his daughter Debra; and his siblings, Betty Bauer, Rita Verkinnes, Robert and Earl Bauer.

He is survived by: his daughter Diane Bauer of Lexington, KY; and his siblings, Lloyd Bauer (Sandy) of Sartell and Sylvia Babcock of Florida.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials go to their church, St Joseph's Catholic Church, Waite Park.
