He was predeceased by: his parents, John Luukkonen and Aune Luukkonen (Johnson); his parents-in-law, Albert and Edith Watrous of Ansonia, CT; his siblings-in-law, Marlene, Steve Wallick of Naugatuck, CT and Gary Wurm of Cedar, MN; his daughter-in-law Susan Anderson Craig Luukkonen of Sebeka; and his son David Luukkonen of Sebeka.
He is survived by: his wife Ethel (Watrous); his children, Duane "Dob" of Sebeka, James Luukkonen of Sebeka and Beth Kern (Daniel A.) of Wadena; his grandchildren, Hope Dumpprope of Minneapolis, MN. and Jake Luukkonen of Minneapolis, MN; his stepgrandsons, Craig Little of Hubertus, WI, Michael Little of Berthold, ND and Thomas Craig of Sebeka, MN.; and his sister Linda Wurm of Nevis, MN.
