She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ingvald Iverson and Margaret Sable; her adoptive parents, Harry Sable and Margaret Sable; her friend Reverend Billy Graham; her former husband Harold Simonson; her husband Ronald Stanger; her children, Steven Simonson (Julie) of St. Cloud, Sheri Griffin (Ed) of Hereford, AZ and Sandra Stanger of River Falls, WI; her sisters, Marion Iverson of Minnetonka and Sharon Thompson of St. Paul; her daughter-in-law Jodie Simonson of Sartell; her son David Simonson; her siblings, JoAnn Ballard and Richard Iverson; and her granddaughter Stephanie Leason. She was also cherished by 9 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
