He was predeceased by: his father Harry Thooft; his parents-in-law, Gifford and Lucille Liebswager; and his brothers, Myril Thooft and Neil.
He is survived by: his mother LaVaune Thooft (Schreurs) of Russell; his wife Nancy Thooft (Liebswager); his sons, Aaron Thooft of Marshall and Troy Thooft (Kim) of Russell; his grandchildren, Vance Thooft, Elsie Thooft, Clara Thooft and Dane Hanson; his pet Cletus; and his siblings, Carolyn Lindsay, Gary Thooft (Deb), Janice Bornitz (Larry), Evelyn Brewers (Jeff) and Marlowe Thooft (Nancy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Steven always put everybody before himself, he was proud of the many years he served as an EMT and also the many pints of blood he donated.
