He is survived by: his children, William Petschen, Shayna Sandstrom and Shanna Petschen; his grandchildren, Agnes, Aedan, Karstan, Faustina and Michael; his brother Mark; his siblings-in-law, Donna Wirth and Jay Feiner; and his nieces and nephews, Jamie, Jenny, Samantha, Alexandra, Larisa, Mark, Michael, Tommy, Jeremy and Tyler.
