He was predeceased by: his wife Marjorie; his siblings, Lawrence Tveit and Lillian Landin; his husband Leonard; his nephew Robert; and his granddaughter Andrea Tveit.

He is survived by: his child Roseau Dwaine; his brothers, Lorne (Marlys) of International Falls and Wilbur (MaryAnn) of International Falls; his sister-in-law Elsie Tveit of Rocky Point; his children, Arlan (Nancy), Nancy R. Tveit of Roseau, Kathy Tveit of Roseau and Tami Loken (Marshall) of Roseau; and his grandchildren, Marc Tveit, Brian Tveit of Roseau, Sarah Johnson (Ben) of Minneapolis, Mary Loken of Chicago and Aaron Loken of Roseau. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Life Care Roseau Manor.
