She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Miller and Emma Miller (Boettcher); her husband Roger Burkel; and her grandchildren, Ross Diercks, Stephanie Schwartau and Evan Burkel.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Schwartau (Bruce) of Kasson, Paul Burkel (Lynda) of Farmington, Ruth Diercks (Bill) of Brookings, SD., Judy Diercks (Mark) of Goodhue, Mike Burkel (Terri) of Mesa, Ariz and Bridget Williams (Brett) of Chanhassen, Minn.; and her grandchildren, Laura Gough (Robert), Nicole Zimmerman (Jay), Josh Burkel (Leesa), Sam Diercks (Mal), Brady Diercks (Leeann), Noah Diercks (Alex), Jake Diercks (Bonnie), Meghan Diercks, Emma Diercks, Jack Burkel (Elizabeth), Brooke Burkel, Emmett Williams and Atticus Williams. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren; two brothers-in-law; and many nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Memorials are preferred to St. John's Organ Fund, the Prader-Willi Association or M Health Fairview Masonic Children's Hospital.
