He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George and Leona Carstensen, Sr. (Eggers); his children, Gloria Beckner (Craig) of Banner, Gayle Robinson (Mike) of Maple Grove, Tom Carstensen (Kim) of Buffalo and Doug Carstensen of Pipestone; his former wife Doris Bruns; his wife Mildred Dockstader of Pipestone; his stepchildren, Ron Dockstader of Gilbert, Bill Dockstader (Deb) of Sioux Falls and Rock Dockstader of Minneapolis, Minnesota; his siblings, Charles Carstensen (Janet) of Rochester, William Carstensen of Pipestone, Minnesota. and Nyla Prinsen (Elmer); and his sister-in-law Sandra Carstensen. He was also cherished by eleven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
