It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sherry R. Schickling of Owatonna, Minnesota, who passed away on November 21, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jay Grunwald and Ellen Grunwald. She is survived by: her husband Steve; her brother Tom Grunwald (Evie) of Phoenix, AZ; her son Scott Sorenson (Kathy) of Lakeville, MN; her stepchildren, Katie Ward (Rodney), Dan Schickling (Trudy) and Eric Schickling (Mel); and her grandchildren, Taylor, Tommy Sorenson, Payton, MaKenzie Ward, Riley and Clayton Schickling. She is also survived by her family and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers and hotdish, the family is requesting memorials go to Mayo Clinic Cancer Research or the Steele County Humane Society.

“Sherry and I were rooomates back in the great late 70's. We made many memories together over the years. We always looked forward to the Boogie Barn parties, at her parents place. We spent many nights singing along to Lindsey and Northrop at what was then called the Scotch Hearth. Sherry was always smiling and laughing her infectious laugh. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Our greatest sympathies go out to her family. Love Brenda (Gerhartz) and Kent Thompson Perham, MN”
