It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Burdette Riley Broughten in Owatonna, Minnesota, who passed away on October 8, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lars Broughten and Etta Broughten (Soule); his wife Joan Broughten; and his siblings, Buster, Burt, Lyle, Beatrice and Blanche.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Broughten of LeRoy, Curtis Broughten (Debbie) of Owatonna, Kathy Broughten of Owatonna, Patricia Knipping (Howard) of Owatonna and Nancy Morness (Tom) of Owatonna; his grandchildren, Greg Morness (Erin), Jeff Morness (Jamie), Sonya Broughten (Dan), Sara Broughten (Scott), Dallas Broughten, Shannon Vick, Lisa Broughten (Richard), Amanda Rios (Louie), Jennifer Matlock (Sam) and Brandy Broughten; and his sisters, LaDonna Turkbash and Bonnie Wachnick. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
