He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Thoennes and Ruth Ann Thoennes (Klein); his wife Jacqueline (Massa); his former wife Lynn Guptil (Robert) of Spicer; his children, Myla Lindstrand (Jon) of Kandiyohi, Rochelle Burger (Dennis) of St. Cloud, Krista Smith of New Ulm and Troy Thoennes of Breckenridge; and his siblings, Connie Maloney (Ed) of Ramsey, Cathy Debilzen (Chuck) of Parkers Prairie and Tim Thoennes (Deb) of Oakdale. He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren.
