He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Kawlewski and Anna Kawlewski (Weber); his significant other LaVonne Irene Kunza; his brothers, Robert, George and Ernest Sr.; and his grandchildren, Tanya Sazama, Jared Kawlewski and Abigail Kawlewski.

He is survived by: his children, Sally Lawien (James), Larry Kawlewski (Eileen Kusick), Terry Kawlewski (Debbri), Joan Nelson, Therese Lachowitzer (Joe), Thomas Kawlewski, Barbara Pearson (Dean) and Geralyn Lindberg; and his brother Tony Kawlewski. He is also survived by his eight children; his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
