He was predeceased by: his parents, Sonny Wind and Dorothy Sam; his children, Dale Wind Jr. and Shawna Smith; and his brothers, Duane Wind and Virgil Wind.
He is survived by: his children, Greg Wind, Jason Wind, Travis Smith, Derek Smith, Tylor Wind, Danielle Smith (Dan) and Tara Smith; and his siblings, Clyde Wind (Jean), Larry Wind, Eloise Wind and Joyce Trudell (Ray). He is also survived by grandchildren, relatives and friends.
