He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Horvat and Magdelene Horvat (Mozanich); his stepgrandchild Joseph Reddick; and his siblings, Stephen in infancy, Joseph, George, John, Mary Ritter, Katie Pufahl and Annie Anderson.
He is survived by: his former spouse Geraldine Reid; his children, Victoria Kennedy (Mark) of Kasota, Sandra Paulsen (Rick) of Alexandria, Pamela Ristau (Garth) of Hillman and Daniel Horvat (Tina) of Le Sueur; his grandchildren, Nick Paulsen (Jessica), Jason Ristau, Mitch Paulsen, Pat Kennedy (Amy), April Ristau (Zach Labarge), Chris Kennedy (Amanda) and Noah Horvat (Kelly); his stepgrandson Darrin Reddick; and his sister Veronica Horvat. He is also survived by five great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; and one sister.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to Mayo Clinic Health System - Hospice or the Minnesota Deer Hunter's Association.
