He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Thompson and Caroline Thompson (Sibelrud); his wife Helen Legried; his siblings, Alice Rosenthal, Clarice Hendricks, Mae O'Neal, James, Arville, George, Vernon and Elvern Thompson; his parents-in-law, Harry and Stella Legried; and his sister-in-law Elaine Peterson.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Boelter (Mark) of Winona, MN, Michael Thompson (Jennifer) of New Richland, MN and Mitchell Thompson (Melissa) of New Richland, MN; and his grandchildren, Allison (Brandon Boelter), Sophie (Walker Thompson), Jordan Allen and Braeden (Kaylei Thompson). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
