He was predeceased by: his parents, George Kajer and Margaret Kajer (Savage); his wife Joyce Marie Kocks; and his siblings, Bernice Hruby, Virginia Brown and Ronald.

He is survived by: his friend Euchre; his sons, Scott Kajer (Marianne Wheelock) of St. Paul and Kevin Kajer (Andrea) of Edina; his grandchildren, Ben Kajer (Caitlin), Hannah Kajer, Matthew Kajer (Moira), Margaret Kajer (Brett Rousseau), Nick Kajer and Frank Kajer; and his great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Charlotte. He is also survived by his family and friends.

If inclined, memorials are preferred to St. Wenceslaus School.
