She was predeceased by: her parents, James J. Simon and Mary Simon (Kubes); her husband Marvin M. Schanus; and her siblings, Teddy, James C., Norbert Simon, Marian Tuma and Sister Bernice Simon.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Shambour (Mike) of New Prague, Pete Schanus (Sue) of Lonsdale, Ken Schanus (Laurie) of Veseli and Cindy Schanus of Lonsdale; her granddaughters, Jeni Shull (Ron), Becki Rislow (Trevor), Tami Kochlin (Nick), Kelli Braith (Dillon), Jackie Huber (Dan), Melissa VanDeBerg (Brad), Nikki Geyen (Marty Spanish), Sara Novotny (Nick), Amy Sellner (Brian) and Ashley Schanus (Ryan McMillen); her great grandchildren, Jameson, Annabel, Jillian, Allyson, Jackson, Owen, Leila, Delta, Sullivan, Lakely, Callen, Jason, Melanie, Miranda, Evan, Nora, Marvin, Vohn, Kylie Jo, Brenten and Aubrey; her brother Bernard Simon (Marion) of Alaska; and her sisters-in-law, Angie Simon of New Prague and Lorraine Simon of New Prague.
