He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvid Nelson and Amanda Nelson (Peterson); his daughter Tina Nelson; and his siblings, Oliver Nelson (Dorothy), Floyd Nelson (Lois), Amy DeGroot (Lester), Jeanne Martinson (Warren), Jeanette Peterson (Robert) and Hazel Molis (Ralph).
He is survived by: his wife Helen; his children, Renee Horton (LeeRay), Laurie Gustafson (Rick), Brenda Leritz (Jack) and Jim Nelson (Rhonda); and his grandchildren, Luke (Jackie), Lisa (Mark), Laura (Kevin), Kyle (Becky), Jessica (John), Heather (Joe), Emily and Abbey. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
