He was predeceased by: his parents, William T. Stahl and Della J. Stahl; his mother-in-law Marie Freund; and his siblings, Doris, Rosemary, Andrew and Donald (Marie).
He is survived by: his son William R. Jr. (Evelyn) of Columbus; his wife Patricia Fort of Winona; his stepchildren, Thomas Fort (Kim), Timothy Fort (Connie) and Michael Fort; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Karlee, Brady, Travis, Jarrod, Cooper and Mitchell; his great grandchild Tate of Winona; his grandchildren, William R. III of Freeport, Dr. Benjamin R. (Kate) of San Francisco, Christina M. of Columbus and Georgia; and his great grandchildren, William D. of Freeport and Oliver Ansel of San Francisco. He is also survived by his many family members and friends.
