He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie; and his brothers, John, Richard and William. He is survived by: his sons, Thomas G. (Jennifer) and Michael (Susan); his siblings, Charles, Judy Smith (James) and Kathy Janke (Larry); and his sister-in-law Sandy. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
