She was predeceased by: her parents, Curtis Kennedy, and Katherine Kennedy, Sr. (Rebrovich); her husband Al Briggs; and her siblings, Curtis Kennedy Jr., Nina Walker, Craig Kennedy and Gael Forsman.
She is survived by: her children, David L. Briggs and Victoria L. Newland (David "Fuchi"); her granddaughter Jennifer Newland Bozosi (Sean); her great grandchildren, Sloan Bozosi and Dane Bozosi; her grandson Jacob Newland (Annie); her great grandchildren, Liu Newland and Signe Newland; and also Laurie Benson.
