She was predeceased by: her parents, Jennie Halvarson (Einersen) and Julius Halvarson; her husband Harold Swanson; her daughter Sondra Dickover; her grandchildren, Charles, Christine and Todd Dickover; and her siblings, Norman Halvarson and Evelyn Hassis.

She is survived by: her daughter Barbara Halgren (Bruce). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren.
