With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth Smith of Minneapolis, Minnesota, who passed away on May 20, 2021 at the age of 79. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Elizabeth Smith to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Schaefer and Elizabeth Schaefer; and her siblings, Paul (Sally), Florence (Herman), Vernon (Betty), Frederick (Bernice), Herbert (Dorene), Benno (Pat), Marcella (John), Norbert (Linda) and Bette.

She is survived by: her husband Harlan Smith; her children, Heidi (Robert Farina), Amy (Thomas Moore), Eric (Ellen) and Bryan (Julie Fisher); her grandchildren, Nicholas, Claire, Joseph, Kelly (Kyle), Jason (Brieann), Scott, Janelle, Zachary, Brenden, Jack and Matthew; and her siblings, Rita Sheedy (David), Conrad Schaefer (Judy) and Roger Schaefer. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

The mass will be limited capacity due to Covid guidelines.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to St. Irenaeus to be given to local food pantries run through Catholic Charities.
