Catherine Rucinda McGraw-Haffa Obituary
Catherine Rucinda (Cindy) McGraw-Haffa was born on February 16, 1952 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Donald McGraw and Elizabeth (Norris) and died on June 3, 2021.
She received her Juris Doctor degree from the William Mitchell School of Law in 1991 and brought a sharp mind and careful eye for detail to all that she did in life. A graduate of Regina High School on the south side of Minneapolis, Cindy received her undergraduate degree from St Catherine's University in St Paul.
She was known to all for having a sunny disposition and she showered friends and family members with cards and special gifts and seemed to always find just the right words when someone was facing a challenge. An avid reader, Cindy was often the victor in trivia games and contests because she absorbed and retained so much knowledge. Across decades, Cindy loved her furry children, and those beautifully groomed dogs would dance with joy as soon as she walked through the door. A woman of devout faith, she gave generously of her time and resources and was the embodiment of the phrase "Family Strong". Her life and the light of her glowing spirt was a gift to all who knew her.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Donald McGraw, sister, Marguerite F. McGraw. Survivors include, husband, Tim Haffa, mother, Elizabeth Norris, father-in-law Dean W. Haffa, two sisters, Sarita McGraw Williams & Michele Norris-Johnson, special nephew Dwight McGraw, beloved bonus daughter, Olivia Keenan, Aunt, Doris Christopher and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, June 16th at 11 am in the Chapel at St Joan of Arc Catholic church, 4537 3rd Avenue South. Memorial gathering begins at 10 am.
