Albert Urspringer Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Albert Urspringer (Columbia Heights, Minnesota), who passed away on March 25, 2021, at the age of 91, Preceded in death by his Parents, John and Elizabeth Urspringer; his siblings, Carl Urspringer, Edward Urspringer, John Urspringer, Gladys Growchow, Ruth Mussche, Elsie Holbrook, Lucia Urspringer and Grace Ibach.
Survived by his beloved Nephews and Neices, Diane (Tom) Pampuch, Sandra Shingobe, Vicky (Bob) Dirks, Debra (Chuck) Dispensa, David (Andrea) Ibach, Elizabeth (Toni) Johnson, Karen (Joel) Hoggatt, Lonnie (Martha) Selstad and Chris Selstad. Albert also left some very good friends that will miss him dearly, Sara (Joel) Paradies, Atsuko Sibuya, Rhonda Zillmer, Ginny Dewey and Ruby Bartlett; and many other friends, neighbors and relatives.
Al will be remembered as a wonderful uncle and friend to so many. He loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and was a devoted member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Albert served his country in the Air Force and was honorably discharged on July 1, 1952. Albert attended the University of Minnesota and was awarded the degree of Bachelor of Arts on June 16, 1973. He also served as a Minnesota State Fire Marshal for 18 years and retired on June 18, 1993. He loved flying his air planes and playing golf (He sure loved golf!). He never hesitated to offer his time and energy to help any of his friends and family. To many his passing will leave a big hole in their lives but we have the hope of seeing him again in heaven which brings great comfort and joy. We have that assurance.
“But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord, therefore, comfort one another with these words.” I Thessalonians 4:13-18 (NKJV)
We will miss him in this life but look forward to seeing him again. We know he is in great joy with all our loved ones that have passed before him. Thank you, Jesus, for his life; he was a blessing for many.
