He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Hemp and Ellen Hemp (Rasmussen); his brother Dean Hemp; his parents-in-law, Clarence and Beatrice Hanson; and his siblings-in-law, Bernice Ward and David Ward.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen Hanson; his siblings, Ernest Hemp (Carol) of Greenbush, MN and Eleanor Dahl of Middle River, MN; his brothers-in-law, Gordon Hanson (MaryEllen) of Iron, MN, Mitch Hanson (Kathy) of Lake Bronson, MN and Stanley Hanson of Las Vegas, NV; and his aunt Elvina Kolden of Middle River, MN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
