He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Ness and Selma Ness (Karvonen); his wife Mary Lou Bowen; his parents-in-law, Floyd E. and Elsie Bowen (Brewer); and his brother Donald.
He is survived by: his brother-in-law Arnold Bowen; his children, Lynnae Sue Toren of St. Hilaire, MN, Kenneth Wayne Ness of Middle River, MN and Kelly Jean Koland (Mark) of Karlstad, MN; his grandchildren, Jesse Lynn Toren, Brenna Rae Koland (Jason Braunhausen), Morgan Joyce Hams (Austin) and Claire Pauline Koland; his great grandchildren, Amari Hope Toren, Ridge Matthew and Tate Alan Hams; and his siblings, Arnold Ness, Richard Ness (Gloria), Roger Ness (Linda), Deloris Wiskow and Betty Ostby. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
