He was predeceased by: his wives, Bernice and MaryAnn Schulz; his siblings, Richard Schulz, Ione Marincel, Wilbur Schulz, Lester Schulz and LeeAnn Bernardi; and his parents, Richard Schulz and Anna Schulz (Kohloff).

He is survived by: his children, Deborah Peterson (Ken) and Gary Schulz (Lindsay); and his brother LeRoy Schulz. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren.
