He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Helgerson and Oneva Helgerson (Eiesland); his sister Onalee Zimmerman; his son Roger Helgerson Jr.; and his parents-in-law, Burton, Lyla Davies, Chester Kondziolka, Joel Bexell, Robert Putzker and Isabel White.
He is survived by: his former wife Janice Person; his wife Carole Sinke; his sons, Scott Helgerson (Ann) and Erik Helgerson (Susan); his stepchildren, Rachel Malsom (Jesse), Kerris Dillon (Mike), Sam Sinke (Jillian) and Drew Sinke (Katherine); his grandchildren, Ingrid, Grace, Emma, Donovan, Landon, Olivia, Jessica, Ben, Sydney, Gabriel, Kalan, Makena, Kaia, Beckham and Leia; his siblings, Clarice Krenik (Chico), Pattie Kondziolka, Robert Helgerson (Frieda) and Lyle Helgerson (Kay); and his siblings-in-law, Roger Zimmerman (Karen), Donna Bexell, Joanne Putzker, John Davies (Sue) and Robert Davies (Jean).
