He was predeceased by: his father Larry Tepley; his grandparents, Marcella, Marvin Bystrom, Julia and Jess Tepley; his uncle Jim Bystrom; and his aunt Sheila Bystrom Kirkwood.

He is survived by: his mother Lois Tepley (Bystrom); his significant other Sandy Kittleson Miller of Lake City; his children, Naoto Lichtblau-Tepley (Lauren Kaartinen) of Minneapolis, Jacob and Eli Miller of Lake City; his siblings, Jennifer Tepley (Daren Sievers) of Lake City and Jonathon Tepley of Lake City; his nieces and nephews, Elliot, Chrisjon Mahn, Madeleine and Sophia Mahn; his aunt Carol Partington (Larry) of Winona; his uncles, Bill Bystrom (Marlis) of Huntington Beach, CA, Don Kittleson (Andrea) of Rochester and Sam Kittleson (Lisa) of Lake City; and his cousins, Brad, Bret, Becky, Jodi, Todd and Stacey.

A Memorial Fund is being set up at Alliance Bank in Lake City benefiting Christopher Tepley and Sandy Kittleson Millers Family- Checks can be dropped off or sent to Alliance Bank Lake City and written out to Jennifer Tepley.
