He is survived by: his wife Barbara Stern of La Crescent; his children, Lara Phelps Berg (David) of La Crosse and Michael Ross Phelps (Brenda) of Eagan, MN; his grandchildren, Brian Ross Phelps of La Crosse, Erik Berg of La Crosse and Caeden Phelps of Eagan; and his great grandchildren, Brian Ross Phelps, Jr. of Holmen, WI and Penelope Phelps of La Crosse.
