She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Kenneth K. Major and Elsie Major (Rauch) of Holland, NY.; her brother Kenneth Major (Mary Major); her husband John Thomas Benton; her grandchildren, Leslie Nelson (Buck), Lee Thoms, Valerie Thoms, Sarah Wernberg (Larson) and Kirsten Lippart (Larson); and her great grandchildren, Savannah (Wernberg) and Ava June (Lippart). She was also cherished by four children, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
