It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jeanette Rose Steinke in La Crescent, Minnesota, born in La Crosse, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 24, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Erlewein and Mina Erlewein (Gilbertson); her husband Karl Steinke; her daughter Fay (Jim); her grandson Tim Loken; her son-in-law Dale Nelsestuen; and her siblings, Angela Butterfield, Helen Palmer, Marion Miller Willard Erlewein, Arthur Erlewein and Edward Erlewein.
She is survived by: her daughter Elaine Nelsestuen (Steinke) of Blaine, MN; her granddaughters, Julie Fields of Minneapolis, MN, Jill Nerud of St. George, Kim Habben of Blaine, MN and Toni Domino of Andover, MN; and her close friend Sandee Feuerhelm. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; sixteen great-great-grandchildren.
