He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dawes and Lois Dawes (Bratberg); and his brother William. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Dawes (Waldow); his children, Sara Peters (Blake), Neal Dawes and Lisa Dawes; his sister Vicki Schroeder (Allen); his siblings-in-law, Janet Miller (Jack), Jennifer Faas (David), George Waldow (Diane) and James Waldow (Stephanie); his parents-in-law, Myron and Betty Waldow (Broring); and his sister-in-law Jackie Moore (Larry). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Evangelical Lutheran Church of La Crescent, or to Gift of Life Transplant House of Rochester, MN, Helping Hand Fund.
