He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elmer Mortensen and Lorrayne Mortensen (Wollin); his sister Elaine (Neil) of Sauk Rapids; his uncle Bob; and his aunt Betty Wollin of Greenbush, MN.

He had been receiving cancer treatment there when he contracted Covid from which he died.
