He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther William and Anna Johanna Farrar (Dolge); and his granddaughter Jaiden Marie Graham. He is survived by: his former wife Joyce Roemeling; his wife Carol Farrar of Jasper; his daughters, Leslie Graham (Brian) of Dell Rapids and Betsy Dion (Howard) of Trent; his stepchildren, David Mize-Johnson (Victoria) of Prineville, Catherine Bryan (Dan) of Jasper and Peter Johnson (Julie) of Jasper, Minnesota; his brother Loren Farrar (Lillian) of Aitkin, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Kalista, Kyra and Kole Graham; his stepgrandchildren, Baylee Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Megan Slater (Jesse), Cory Bryan, Billy Mize (Jillian), Mike Mize, Emily Mize, Kyle Dion, Dustin Johnson and Breanna Johnson; and his great grandchildren, Ryder, Marley Johnson and Everli Dion.

Memorials will be directed to the Jasper Evangelical Lutheran Church or the Jasper Fire Department.
