He was predeceased by: his parents, John Waltz, and Marie Waltz, Jr.; his brother-in-law Jimmy "Allen" Shelton; and his parents-in-law, Darwin and Evelyn Seaman.

He is survived by: his wife Diana Waltz of Hutchinson, MN; his daughters, Ann Engel (Troy) of Hutchinson, MN and Jean Boucher (Christopher) of Spokane, WA; his grandchildren, Alyssa Engel (Shane Matter), Dylan Engel, Christopher Boucher, Robert Boucher, Nathan Boucher (Megan) and Aaron Boucher; and his sisters, Delores Shelton of Spokane, WA, Betty Kurle (Vernon) of McClusky, ND and Many. He is also survived by Many other relatives and friends.
