He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Hempel and Anna Hempel (Uhlkin); and his son Scott. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Jenson; his children, Sandy Dudonis (Ray) and Tim Hempel (Jody) of Granite Falls; and his daughter-in-law Judy Soderholm. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and extended family and friends.
