He was predeceased by: his parents, Harm Meyer and Lena Meyer; his former wife Beverly Rosenberg; his grandchild Baby Boy Meyer; his siblings-in-law, Maurice Rosenberg, Stanley Rosenberg, Gene Strouth, Norman Rosenberg, Ida Rosenberg, Maddie Rosenberg, Phyllis Strouth and Marilyn Rosenberg; his stepgrandson Daniel; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Avery and Ender.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Jungjohan; his children, Colleen Braun (Thomas), Gail Lee (Jeffrey) and Rev. Monte Meyer (Nadine); his stepchildren, Sonya Sargent (Mark Hall), Dwayne Hakeneis (Deb), Michael Hakeneis (Cheri), Monica Strand and Amanda Feste (Dan); his brother Gary Meyer; his sisters-in-law, Judy Van Westen, Dianne Gilmore, Carolyn Jungjohan and Jody Vander Bush (Jeff); and his grandchildren, Jessica Thomsen (Thomas), Cori Lee, Darren Braun (Amy), Brian Lee (Stephanie), Curtis Braun (Laura), Sarah Rinderknecht (Peter), Emily Cooley (Nicholas) and Peter Meyer. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren; a great great grandchild, as well as many step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
