He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph and Dora Opdahl (Barnes); his wife Helen Buschena; his daughter Gloria Nerison; his grandson Garth Karnitz; his great grandchild David Tesch; and his sister Madelia Hart.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis Opdahl (Janet) of Slayton, MN, Gordon Opdahl of Avoca, MN, Roger Opdahl (Lisa) of Fulda, MN and Doreen Karnitz of Chaska, MN; his son-in-law James Nerison of Prior Lake, MN; and his sisters, Helen Meyer and Elaine Hovland. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
