He was predeceased by: his parents, Galen Alton and Helen Mae West (Cushman); his daughter-in-law Jackie West; his brother Alton "Junior" West; and his great grandchild Ryan Reed.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Amanda Reed (West), Zachary West, Grant West, Molly Johnson (West), Sebren Baer, Lance West, Isaac Baer, Amber West, Hanna Baer and Lacey West; his wife Marlys West of Farmington, MN; his children, Jeff West of Watertown, SD, Jon West (Tracey) of Dallas, TX and Jodi Baer (Daniel) of Farmington, MN; and his siblings, Joe West (Barb) of Watertown, SD, Marjorie Baker (Darrel) of Castlewood, SD, Wesley West (Joyce) of Hayti, SD, Steven West of Hayti, SD, Myron West (Karla) of Hayti, SD, Mary West of Watertown, SD, Martha Hilman (Conrad) of Hayti, SD and Anita Levijoki (Paul) of Hayti, SD.. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
