He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth; and his sisters, Catherine Brietchopf, Helene Hamilton and Gretchen Reilly. He is survived by: his children, Linda Westenberg (Bob), Nancy Hartzler (Bob) and Peter Jr. (Kay); and his grandchildren, Rick Westenberg (Francesca), David Westenberg (Taryn), Katie Westenberg (Dan), Nick Hartzler, Matthew Hartzler (Greta), Laura Short (Chris) and Max Hinsch (Allie). He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
At age 99 he discovered online duplicate bridge when Covid closed the bridge center.
