He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Jerik and Margaret Jerik (Goosen); his sisters, Mildred Cariveau and Mary Lou Jerik; his uncle Marvin Chandler; and his aunt Frannie Chandler.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Straus; his pet Mittens; his children, Kevin Jerik (Sheila), Kim Wasylow (Dave) of Mekinock, ND, Keith Jerik (Brenda) of Pleasant View, TN, Ken Jerik (Terri) of Grand Forks, ND and Kristi Gerszewski (Dwight) of Grand Forks, ND; his grandchildren, Tami Wasylow, Shannon Swartz (Cody), Kayla Jerik, Jeremy Gerszewski (Ashley), Casey Jarboe (Tyler), Jessica Gerszewski and Joseph Gerszewski (Kelsey Kozel); his stepgrandchildren, Ben, April, Adam and Georgi Wicks; his great grandchildren, Zackary Steele and Bristol Swartz; and his brother-in-law David (Rita). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Sacred Heart, Hospice of the Red River Valley, or to a charity of choice.
