She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Mathues and Edna Mathues (Tebo); her husband Fred R. Barrett; her siblings, Dorothy "Dot" Glaser, Louis "Sonny" Mathues, Jim Mathues, Clifford Mathues and Tom Mathues; and her son-in-law Gary Driscoll.

She is survived by: her children, Linda Driscoll of Grand Forks, ND, Fred L. Barrett (Mary), Tom Barrett (Cindy) and Debbie Hahn (Jeff); her grandchildren, Dustin Hahn (Anna Sjol), Dennis Hahn (Amber), Tim Driscoll (Kayla), Laura Welle (Darrin), Jennifer Braun, Thomas Barrett and Tyler Barrett (Nicole); her great grandchildren, Jolene Sadler, William Braun, Waylon Braun, Finn Barrett, Rhys Barrett, Tucker Barrett, Elena Barrett, Kieran Driscoll, Barrett Welle and Madison Welle; and her siblings, Elsie Yanish, Shirley Grassel (Bill), Loretta Coulter (Don) and Chuck Mathues (Susan). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorials are preferred to Mendenhall Presbyterian Church, Blessed be the memory of Marie I. Barrett.
