With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darrell James Kvernen of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, born in Portland, North Dakota, who passed away on September 26, 2021 at the age of 67. He was predeceased by: his father Orion Kvernen; his son Chad Ackerland; and his sister Geri Kvernen. He is survived by: his mother Marion Kvernen (Bjerke); his former wife Rhonda Melland; his wife Margaret Ackerland; his sons, Shawn Kvernen (Kristie), Tom Ackerland (Kim) and Paul Ackerland; his grandsons, Jacob and Joshua Kvernen; and his siblings, Paul Kvernen (Tamarie), Dale Kvernen (Kim), Terri Strand (Lynn), Jenell Braseth (Ron) and Cheri Gregor.
